Fall 2016 (November 1, 2016)

I’ve been selected as a Hatch Projects artist resident at the Chicago Artist Coalition for 2016-2017. HATCH Projects is a yearlong, juried incubator for contemporary Chicago artists and curators that strives to support an ecology of curatorial and artistic practice. HATCH fosters shared experimentation, exchange, and creativity to produce ground-breaking exhibitions and programs. Artist Residents are divided into groups of six to work with one Curator Resident on exhibitions. HATCH exhibitions are TBA in 2017.

Opening Sunday November 20th, I have works featured in a group show If only, it’s just beginning curated by Curt Miller and John Szczepaniak (aka JOBS). It features works by Brendan Meara, Lisa Holzer, Alejandro Jimenez Flores, Matt Kayhoe Brett and Lori-May Cruz Orillo. Reception from 3-5pm at 436 S. Lombard Ave #1S in Oak Park, IL. The exhibition runs through the end of December.

I’ll have a video piece, The Light Drips Down featured at Roman Susan in their Streetlight video art series projected outside the gallery from December 15 – 30. Roman Susan is located at 1224 W. Loyola Ave Chicago, IL 60626.

Tiger Strikes Asteroid‘s Flatfiles exhibition continues through mid-December. TSA is located in Bushwick, NY. Drop by if you are in town to see two of my collage works featured in a selection of 33 artists.

The Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation exhibition has been extended to January 9th. Although this exhibition is not open to the public, it has been an honor to have three collages featured in this terrific group of artists: Robert Burnier, Zakkiyyah Najeebah, Lise Haller Baggesen Ross, Michiko Itatani, Darian Longmire, Victoria Martinez, Cristiane Mohallem and Johana Moscoso curated by Curatorial Fellow La Keisha Leek.
