Tobey Albright and I have been collaborating on an exhibition, Privates, to share our personal art collections at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI (Sept 6 – Nov 4).

Please join us for our artist talk and catalogue release Saturday, October 28th, at 1 pm. We will discuss the concepts and motivations behind the exhibition with gallery director, Ryan Peter Miller. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is provided.

Saturday, October 14th, we worked with students and faculty at Carthage College to silk-screen six separate variations of a cover for an edition of 500 exhibition catalogues. These covers, along with the interiors, will be released as the final gesture of the exhibition at the H.F. Johnson Gallery of Art.

And check out the exhibition review in Milwaukee Magazine, by Lindsey Anderson! The exhibition is up through November 4, 2017. To follow the process of the exhibition through occasionally updated photographs, go to www.privates.work.

September 9 – November 10, 2017:

I have several paintings included in a group exhibition, ECHOES, in Berlin, Germany (Sept 12 – Nov 11). The exhibition is organized by curator Mirjam Casandra Wendt and artist Jonah Criswell to bridge the distance between Kansas City and Berlin. rK (or Ratskeller Galerie für zeitgenössische kunst) is located in the historic town hall on Möllendorffstraße 6, a beautifully renovated historic space in Berlin’s Lichtenberg neighborhood. rK is part of the Kommunale Gallien Berlin network (or Municipal Galleries Berlin are together the KGB) the working group municipal galleries Berlin. Luckily, I received a DCASE IAP grant to travel to Berlin and attend our opening! It was phenomenal to meet truly amazing artists and curators during Berlin’s Art Week. The exhibition will travel to Kansas City, Missouri. http://www.echoes.international/Kansas-City
